The Fifth Deadly Sin

Dana Reed

Adobe PDF

Book Two of the Bobby Beckett-August Summers Series. What looks like suicide is really murder -- murder of a mysterious young woman, who was kidnapped and has been missing since the age of three. With the help of reporter August Summers, Detective Bobby Beckett searches unravel the tangled web of treachery and deceit and more and more bodies are found. A thrill a minute page turner!

"A young woman is found murdered, set up to look like a suicide, in a car. What’s odd is that this woman has been missing after being kidnapped around the age of three. Detective Bobby Beckett enlists the help of her friend, reporter August Summers, a quick-off-the-mark young woman with her own fair share of family difficulties. Along with memories and demons from a previous case, the pair embarks on an interesting but dangerous journey to catch the perpetrator of the crime.
Read the first paragraph of a book and you have a very good idea if said book is going to be well written or not. Thankfully, ‘The Fifth Deadly Sin’ (5DS) is the former. This novel is packed with facts, action and two worrying cases to solve. What I liked personally about this novel is the way that the reader is kept informed of what’s going on. You are always included in the investigation every step of the way. Can you solve the crime before they do?
Some of the action has history as ‘The Fifth Deadly Sin’ is the second one in a series but it’s still strong enough to stand on its own. It does that with grace and strength. The narration is smooth flowing and gripping as any horror/thriller novel should be.
It’s well worth buying this novel and catch up on the series by obtaining the first one ‘Unholy Alliance.’ You can’t go far wrong."
Carrie White, Reviewer & Writer

“Talented Dana Reed does it again! A mystery/horror combination that will have you on the edge of your seat as you read, turning the pages as fast as you can to find out what happens next. The gruesome death of a young woman plunges Police Officer Bobby Beckett, August Summers, and the reader into the stark reality of murder. Mysterious footsteps on the steps in August's apartment plunge her back into the horror of being stalked. Again!  The tension-filled pace will cause shortness of breath, a tightening in your stomach.  You'll be afraid to look over your shoulder as dark settles around you.  Guaranteed to satisfy the most discriminating mystery or horror reader.”  Anne K. Edwards, Author of Journey Into Terror and Death on Delivery

“A hard-hitting novel whose double-pronged peril and twists of plot will keep the reader glued in place right to the final word.”  P. M. Griffin, Author of The Star Commandos Series

“This second novel featuring Detective Bobby Beckett is a suspenseful thriller that’s chilling, exhilarating, and just as riveting as the first. The Fifth Deadly Sin is one mystery-thriller you won’t want to miss!” S. J. Reisner, Author of Left Horse Black
